Are you spending too much money on expensive wrinkle creams that don't even work? Stop! Cure blemishes and fine lines with ingredients sitting right in your own pantry!
Egg WhitesThis light breakfast food contains B-complex vitamins that can help tighten your skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. For a quick facial before a night on the town, beat 2 egg whites together, apply a dab under each eyelid, massage and let sit for 30 minutes. Wash your face with cool water, pat dry and you're ready to go!
Coconut OilYou'll often find this antioxidant-packed oil in sunscreens and moisturizers, but to maximize its full potential, use it in its purest form! Combine virgin coconut oil with a few drops of vitamin E oil and apply before you go to bed. Your skin will actually regenerate overnight!
PineappleIf you have some extra pineapple in your fridge, use it on your face! This tropical fruit contains powerful enzymes that moisturize the skin and kill dead skin cells! Chop up a couple of slices, lay back and let that powerful juice seep into your skin for 10 –15 minutes.
Lemon JuiceThe strong exfoliating properties in the acidic juice help fade wrinkles by killing off dead cells from the skin’s outer layers. Apply a small amount of juice (the size of a quarter), and watch your skin instantly soften! Lemon juice is also a great remedy for drying up pimples!
Pumpkin SeedsPumpkin seeds (or pepitas) are not only a yummy treat to snack on, the vitamin E in them encourages the formation of collagen and protects against free radicals, restoring the health of your skin cells. Try crushing up a handful, mixed with a teaspoon of olive oil, for a moisturizing and soothing facial!
Green Apple An apple a day keeps the wrinkles away! Green apple juice is loaded with an array of vitamins and contains acids that help gently exfoliate your skin. Blend a few green apple slices with two tablespoons of honey, one tablespoon of plain yogurt (a great skin cleanser) and leave on for about 20 minutes. Your skin will feel refreshed and you’ll smell good too!
Turmeric and Sugar CaneTurmeric, a member of the ginger family, has been used for centuries by the Chinese and Indians to help heal wounds and prevent disease, but it’s also a great wrinkle reducer! Turmeric contains a powerful source of antioxidants that can actually make lines fade! Mix 100 milligrams of turmeric powder with 10-15 drops of sugar cane juice and apply as a paste on affected areas. Once dry, rinse off with warm water and moisturize. You’ll see a difference almost instantly!
AvocadoIt's no secret avocado is rich in vitamin E! These creamy fruits contain at least 14 minerals essential for skin care, and pack a hydrating, healing and nourishing punch! Combine 1 egg yolk, half of an avocado and 1 tablespoon of honey for a healing mask -- leave on your skin for 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water. For an extra deep cleanse, first wash and exfoliate your skin with an egg white or green apple juice!
PapayaPapaya is another tropical fruit that fights the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes! Its plentiful supply of potassium, fiber, folate and magnesium promotes smooth, radiant skin that helps reduce signs of aging! Blend 2 tablespoons of papaya pulp with a spoonful of dry oatmeal to make a wrinkle-reducing mask, apply and leave on for about 10 minutes to watch this superfood work its magic on your skin!

What men really want to hear from you
By Robert W. Harris
Don’t get me wrong: In general, men are in awe of women’s date-night conversation skills — which are, hands down, far superior to their own. Even so, though, you ladies do still insert your stiletto’d foot in your mouth every once in awhile — or, conversely, miss prime opportunities to make a remark that would raise your stock in our eyes. Curious about whether you’ve got the right choice phrases in your back pocket and avoiding the bad ones? Check out this list of things guys love (and hate) to hear on a date!
Five things men love to hear on a date:
1. “Then what happened?”
It’s only human for a man to want to think that his life is reasonably interesting. And while interrupting him, changing the subject, or acting bored are well-known nails in the conversational coffin, it’s not enough to just sit there, smile and say “uh-huh” every few seconds. Actively egg him on with comments like, “You’re kidding! What happened next?” or “Go on...” That way, he’ll know you’re genuinely interested versus just being polite.
2. “That’s pretty impressive.”
Maybe he placed in a local triathlon recently or got a promotion at work, or he figured out how to fix his air conditioner by himself. Whatever he’s done, if he’s mentioning it on a date, he’s most likely proud of it — and if you feed his ego by applauding his efforts, you’ll make him feel like a king.
3. “Thank you.”
No doubt about it, manners matter — and are sorely lacking in today’s less formal dating scene. Tap into your inner Emily Post, and it’s sure to make you stand out. So, thank him when he tells you that you look pretty tonight. Thank him for paying for dinner. Thank him for walking you to your car. It’s such a small thing, but it’ll make a huge difference to him.
4. “What do you do when you’re not at work?”
Although a man’s job might be of primary importance, he also has other things in his life that he values. Does he juggle? Work on his car? Play an instrument? With a little probing, a woman can hit upon hidden passions — and convey that she’s interested in getting a complete picture of him as a person and not just what he does to earn his paycheck.
5. “I’d like to get your opinion on something.”
It’s the damsel-in-distress call, and it’s pure catnip for men... and that’s because we love feeling useful, and seeking our advice definitely fits the bill in that regard. So whether you need tips on buying a digital camera or how to handle a tricky situation with your boss, he’ll be glad to help you. (He will be less eager, however, to comment on shopping, knitting or his dating past...but you already knew that.)
Five things men hate to hear...
1. “My last boyfriend...”
All we can say is, why? Why mention that your ex was a jerk to your date? Why mention that you and your ex are pals? Why mention your ex, period? Whatever you say, all we will hear is, “I’m out with you, but I’m still thinking a lot about another man.” Although men like to compete, they don’t like to do it on a date with men who aren’t even in the same room.
2. “Do you mind if I take this call?”
Of course we mind! We won’t say that we do, but trust me, we do. So unless it’s a dire emergency involving your kids or grandmother on her deathbed, let your voicemail pick up instead. An hour paying attention to your date won’t kill you, right?
3. “So how do you feel about abortion?”
This type of question is known among men as a “litmus test” — a touchy topic that women raise to gauge whether we’re politically, morally, or spiritually on the same page as themselves (the death penalty, gay marriage, and the war on terror also fit the bill). Sure, we probably have strong opinions, but we’re not interested in getting into them with you; at least, not yet. After all, this is a date, not debate club. Let’s have fun and save more heated back-and-forth discussions for later.
4. “And then I found this cute pair of sandals...”
Granted, you and your girlfriends can spend hours gushing about shopping, shoes, and new hairstyles, but you’re not out with your girlfriends right now. You’re out with a guy, remember? And since we wouldn’t subject you to talk about stocks or our favorite sports teams, please, do us the same favor.
5. “How do you feel about having a family?”
Pop this question during those first few dates, and most men will assume your biological clock is ticking fast — and that’s not a good thing. It’s not that we don’t want families; in fact, many of us do — it’s just that we like to get to know a woman first before doing so. And we also like to know you that like us as more than just as a potential baby-making machine. After all, where’s the romance in that?

'' BANANAS...'' A very interesting FACTS
Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!!...
This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
DEPRESSION:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
ANEMIA:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
BLOOD PRESSURE:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
BRAIN POWER:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
CONSTIPATION:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
HANGOVERS:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
HEARTBURN:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
MORNING SICKNESS:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
MOSQUITO BITES:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
NERVES:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
ULCERS:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL:
Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!'
PASS IT ON TO YOUR FRIENDS...
PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time! I will add one here; want a quick shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth. Amazing fruit !!! ^_^ edm

The Seven Habits of Highly Happy People
The Seven Habits of Highly Happy People
By: Marc and Angel Hack Life (View Profile)
Highly happy people all share happy habits. It’s as simple as that. The happiest people I know share seven very obvious habits. If you’re looking to expand your general happiness, you may consider adopting these in your own life.
1. Be a part of something you believe in.
This could be anything. People may take an active role in their local city council, find refuge in religious faith, join a social club supporting causes they believe in, or find passion in their careers. In each case, the physiological outcome is the same. They engage themselves in something they strongly believe in. This engagement brings happiness and meaning into their lives.
2. Share time with friends and family.
A happy life is a life shared with friends and family. The stronger the personal relationships are and the higher the frequency of interaction, the happier a person will be.
3. Reflect on the good.
Quite often people concentrate too much of their attention on negative outcomes and leave no time to positively reflect on their successes. It’s natural for a person to want to correct undesirable circumstances and focus closely on doing so, but there must be a healthy balance in the allocation of personal awareness. It is important to mindfully reflect on the good while striving diligently to correct the bad. A continuous general awareness of your daily successes can have a noticeably positive affect on your overall emotional happiness.
4. Exploit the resources you DO have access to.
The average person is usually astonished when they see a physically handicapped person show intense signs of emotional happiness. How could someone in such a restricted physical state be so happy? The answer rests in how they use the resources they do have. Stevie Wonder couldn’t see, so he exploited his sense of hearing into a passion for music, and he now has twenty-five Grammy Awards to show for it.
5. Create happy endings whenever possible.
The power of endings is quite remarkable. The end of any experience has a profound impact on a person’s overall perception of the experience as a whole. Think about reading a well written, thought-provoking novel. Now imagine the ending totally sucks. Even if the story was captivating up until the ending, would you still be happy recommending the novel to a friend? People always remember the ending. If the ending is happy, the experience creates happiness. Always tie loose ends, leave things on a good note, and create happy endings in your life whenever possible.
6. Use personal strengths to get things done.
Everyone possesses unique personal strengths. We all have different talents and skill sets. Emotional happiness comes naturally to those who use their strengths to get things done. The state of completion always creates a sense of achievement. If this achievement is based exclusively on your own personal ability to get the job done, the physiological rewards are priceless.
7. Savor the natural joy of simple pleasures.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the best things in life are free. They come in the form of simple pleasures and they appear right in front of you at various locations and arbitrary times. They are governed by Mother Nature and situational circumstance and captured by mindful awareness. It’s all about taking a moment to notice the orange and pink sunset reflecting off the pond water as you hold hands with someone you love. Noticing these moments and taking part in them regularly will bring unpredictable bursts of happiness into your life.

5 regrets people have on their deathbeds
Ms. Bronnie Ware has worked with the dying for many years. She recently detailed the top 5 regrets that people have on their deathbed on her blog
(http://www.inspirationandchai.com/Regrets-of-the-Dying.html).
While we are all bound to have some regrets in life, here are the top 5.
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
Ware said that this was the most common regret of all. It’s easy to let our dreams slip by due to circumstances or decisions that we’ve made. These choices mark the divide between living a fulfilled life or one that is full of regrets.
It’s important that we aim to achieve at least some of our dreams along the way. We often put off trying for our dreams due to a myriad of reasons. Before we know it, we would have lost our health and therefore, our chance to attain them.
If your dream is to start a business, get to it. If it’s to learn how to dance or try skydiving, book a class. If you want to make music, pick up a guitar.
Don’t put it off any longer.
2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
In between having ends meet and aiming for a luxurious lifestyle, it’s easy to see why we get caught up with our work.
Ware said that this was a common regret of male patients who didn’t manage to spend enough time with their family.
It’s easy to get caught up in the rat race, but remember to set aside some time for the important things in life. Most importantly, you will have to understand why you do what you do. Is it for your own personal achievement, for family, or for a higher calling?
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
Hands up anyone who has suppressed their feelings in order to avoid potential embarrassment or argument.
Avoiding arguments is good for a harmonious life, but the problem comes when we take it too far. When we blindly follow the opinions of someone more assertive just to avoid arguments, we’re shortchanging ourselves.
While it’s understandable that we use Twitter and blogging to rant about things we are unhappy with, do remember that talking about it face-to-face is always a more sincere option.
So if an issue is major enough, try approaching the person for an honest and frank chat. We’re not saying that the talk will be smooth sailing, but your relationships will emerge stronger and healthier.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
It’s easy to lose touch with good friends. A busy lifestyle can take away time from the ones you love. This is where technology comes in.
With services like Facebook, WhatsApp and Yahoo! Messenger, it’s easy to keep tabs on old friends. Talking to friends is so effortless today that we have no reason to let staying in touch with friends take a backseat.
At the end of the day though, nothing beats chatting over a cup of coffee. So always remember to occasionally take things offline and catch up with your friends the old fashioned way.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
‘Many don't realize until the end that happiness is a choice’, said Ware in her blog post.
This is very true. Happiness is something that we choose for ourselves. Many get upset over the circumstances in their lives. What they do not realize is that they can choose to face difficulties with a smile.
Take a moment and enjoy life. If difficulties come your way, remember that pain is inevitable but wallowing in misery is always optional.
Choose to be happy.

I have been making money from online paid surveys for 2 years. From experience, below are the links to the best surveys companies that give the highest cash payment and prizes. They are all FREE to join. You can make a few hundred bucks monthly just by completing their surveys:

http://surveysavvy.com

If you like to earn more from surveys, I suggest you join a paid survey program that shows you a huge list of legitimate online paid survey companies. I tried several paid survey programs like expresspaidsurveys, paidsurveysetc, highestpaidsurveys. The best out of the lot is maximumpaidsurveys.
Maximumpaidsurveys has a huge list of legitimate survey companies and mystery shopper companies --- 762 in all. Surveys are categorized nicely into USA, UK, Canada and Asia. Each region has hundreds of survey companies for you to choose from. After joining, the survey will just keep flooding in and you can choose to do the ones that has the highest pay out. I make about $2000 monthly from these paid surveys working just an extra hour daily.

ya check out my site http://cashtutor.blogspot.com/ I review all the sites that have paid me and even posted the checks online. They're all free and easy. You won't get rich but they definitely help with bills or something. :)

Well, I use these survey sites, still searching for more though.
Email Cash Australia:
Link: http://www.emailcash.com.au/join.asp?ref...
This one is for Aussie's only. Each day you do the quick survey and 1 of the web clicks and if you have enough experience you should do the guessing game, it's free and you have a chance of winning up to 1.4k points.
100 points = $1 AU
Spider Metrix:
Link: http://www.spidermetrix.com/sm120.php?re...
This one takes a while but gets money at least. Basically each day you check, do the quick survey and check if there's a normal survey for you to do. Each day you can also post a site review. You can do this twice each day, it's called Spider voice in the 'fun' section.
300 points = $50
Your Voice
Link: https://www.yourvoice.com.au/clients/acn...
This is probably the best one i've found so far.
This one is not that good for surveys, got none so far, but you get $8 - 10 (depends what voucher you want) or so for each person you refer, sadly you can only have 20 referrals, but still good money.
Well gtg hope you like them.

You should try cash crate. Many people make over $100 a month, but you have to be ready to put in the time in filling out offers. Cash crate is free to join and easy to use. I was skeptical at first when joining the site, but I read through the forum and found it to be legit. I also just received my first payment.

Well, honestly you won't make $100 a month with one company. You might make $15 with one, $10 with another etc. Some pay with gift cards, others with cash, etc. My advice, if you want to make $100 sign up with a few. I made a webpage showing the ones I use and why. One I forgot to put on there (and cant figure out how to add it) is Baker St. Solutions, they pay by amazon gift cards, but I dont have the link off the top of my head. Good luck!

and have received about $30-40/month - I know it is not a lot, but it is free money and helps pay the bills - I love Inbox Dollars.
I am not selling you anything, I just an honest review based on my experiences.
If you do not want to read the article, you can signup here:

It is safe, I have been using it for 6 months.

Does it feel like you can make a pot of coffee and clean the kitchen all in the time it takes for your computer system to boot up? Do you find yourself daydreaming of dropping it off the top of your office building while you’re waiting for web pages to load? If it seems like your computer is running slower every day, here are some things to do to get your “old reliable” running in tip-top shape. Of course, budget-savvy Nerd Chicks are always looking for ways to save some dough, so we’ve made sure they are all free.
1. Get Rid of the Nasties
Viruses and spyware don’t always break your computer, but they do always slow it down. They’re more common than you may think, and can hang out in your system, gumming up the works, without you even knowing it. Microsoft Security Essentials is a great, easy, all-in-one solution to keep your computer healthy and running in top form. Download it here.
2. Update Your OS
Windows issues updates all the time. These can patch holes in the software, closing vulnerabilities that viruses and spyware exploit, and generally make Windows run better. If you’re running Windows XP, right click on the My Computer icon on the desktop, select Properties and click on the Automatic Updates tab. Make sure you set them to download and install automatically.

3. Purge “Bloatware"
Still have that Norton Trial software installed from when you bought your machine three years ago? Get rid of it! Every time it pops up a window “reminding” you to buy it, I’m guessing a little voice in your head mutters unpleasant things. It’s also slowing down your system as the antiquated software runs in the background. Search for “Norton Removal Tool” (or “McAfee Removal Tool”) to make sure that you get the software fully uninstalled.
4. Speed Your Startup
MSConfig is a tool built in to most versions of Windows. Even novice computer surfers can use this tool to stop programs from starting automatically every time you boot up. While certain things are necessary for Windows to function, if your system is trying to turn on iTunes, your printer, and Adobe every time it boots up, the poor thing’s got a lot of things to get going before it can launch your Sudoku. Click the "Start" button. If you have a search option, type “msconfig” into the search field. If you don’t have a search option, but have a “Run” button on the startup menu, click that instead. When you do this, a window will appear on screen with the word "Run:" next to a blank text field. Type "msconfig" in the blank text field and press "Enter". Click the "Startup" tab at the top of the menu. Uncheck the boxes next to programs that you don't need during startup – but only programs you recognize! Click the "Apply" button, then select "OK", and restart your computer. I can almost hear your computer sighing in relief from here.
5. Defrag Your Hard Drive
Every time you save a file, or update software, your hard drive stores each new thing in chronological order. This means that when you launch Word, your system has to search all over your hard drive to find all the pieces that have been stored over the months, or years. Defragging simply means that your hard drive will take all the “like” things and put them together, allowing programs to launch and work faster. Windows 7 comes configured to defrag automatically, however Windows XP users will need to start the process manually. From the Start menu, right-click the “My Computer” option. Select “Manage” and choose disk defragmenter under the Storage section. Keep in mind that the process can take several hours, so set it to run at night. Also, remember to disable your system’s hibernate mode & screen saver before starting. When the process is complete, restart your PC.

6. Repair the Registry
Your system’s registry is like your hard drive’s table of contents. If there are incorrect entries, it can take your drive longer to find all the pieces of data it needs to launch and run programs. Glary Utilities is a great free application that you can install to quickly and easily fix registry errors and optimize your system’s performance. Download the free version here.
7. Clear Out the Cookies
Every time you visit a website, it stores little pieces of itself, or programs, on your system. The idea is that the next time you visit the site it will load that content faster. The problem is that it’s rare that we return to the same sites and see the same things over and over again. Instead, the process of digging through several MBs of temporary internet files will lead all websites to load more slowly. Clear out your cache with CCleaner , a top rated free software program for cleaning out temporary files and making your system run at its best. One tip: use the cookies tab to select cookies you want to keep from sites you visit often and/or want to continue to login to automatically (like your email, or your bank).
8. Clean it, No Really!
Your computer has a fan in it that draws in air to cool the CPU and components. If this fan or vent becomes clogged with dust, pet hair, or other nasties, your system can overheat, causing it to run more sluggishly and eventually break. Grab a can of air and take your PC outside for a field trip. Don’t just blow into the intake vent: open the case, don’t blow air too closely at the components, and blow dust away from the case.

9. Ditch Internet Explorer
There are many alternative browsers you can use to access the Internet. Most techies agree that Google’s Chrome is the fastest option that doesn’t compromise compatibility.
10. If all else fails…
A surefire way to ensure that your system is running as close to good-as-new as you can hope to get is to back up your data, format your hard drive, and reinstall Windows. Keep in mind that you will need to reinstall all of your software, including office. Don’t forget to install your anti-virus and anti-spyware before surfing the net!
Getting on a regular maintenance schedule will save you, and your trusty computer, much pain and suffering. Especially if these tips keep you from drop kicking your PC off the roof! If you’re struggling with any of these steps, or want more info, check out my website, www.callnerds.com.

5 eligible guys who stay single
5 eligible guys who stay single
By Matt Schneiderman
We all know this guy — or are this guy: in his 30s, affable, attractive, and yet he’s never been in a serious long-term relationship. And as his single status stretches into a third decade, one has to wonder: What’s the deal? Far from being undateable, this guy may simply not be ready to change his independent ways. Or, he may be all too willing to do so — but something’s blocking him. If you feel you may fall into the latter category (or know someone who does), stop worrying about what’s slowing you down and read on to learn about how five types of die-hard bachelors contribute to their perpetually single status and what steps to take to break the cycle.
The workaholic
For the guy who makes work priority number one, a relationship can seem like a hindrance for which he hasn’t the time or energy. It’s likely that he’s set lofty career goals for himself — perhaps finishing medical school, rising to make partner in his law firm or starting his own business — with personal deadlines (say, by age 35). Take it from Doug, 31, of Washington, D.C.: “My main focus is getting to a point in my career where I am stable and accomplished enough to move on to a job that I really want to do,” he says. “I can’t sacrifice or compromise my career path for anyone yet.”
Reality check: Waiting for the “right time” isn’t the solution, according to Ian Kerner, Ph.D., author of DSI: Date Scene Investigation. “This guy needs to understand that life doesn’t start when he schedules it,” Dr. Kerner points out. And it needn’t be a lonely climb to the top: rather than derail his career, a supportive mate could provide stability, encouragement and an attentive ear. And for the guy who is working to become husband material, consider this: 91 percent of women in a Match.com survey reported that they tend to fall in love with a moderately successful career person with a balanced life rather than a very successful workaholic.
The partier
For this guy, weekends in Vegas and hitting up the newest parties and clubs has too much appeal to entertain the possibility of settling down. Says self-described “committed bachelor” Sean, 30, of Brooklyn: “I go out to have a good time — mingle, dance, have fun — and not to meet someone.”
Reality check: As the Seans of the world mature, they may notice that their party-hearty peers are becoming fewer in number or that the average age of his social circle — and of his dates — remains constant as he ages. Another warning sign? More numbers in his cell phone for “friends with benefits” than those belonging to actual friends. The bottom line is, for all the fun of casual encounters and late nights out, a partier would do well to understand that a committed relationship has its own joys, too — even excitement and novelty. “These guys are adrenaline junkies, and they fear that a commitment to one person will be no fun,” says Dr. Kerner. “But really getting to know one person in a relationship can be a source of passion and adrenaline, too.”
The shy guy
It’s a fact: Meeting women requires conversation — which can be problematic for a shy guy and can stunt his relationship prospects. “I go out with the express purpose of meeting people, but I hardly ever screw up enough courage to talk to strangers,” admits Alex, 31, of Raleigh, NC. “Even if I do, I wuss out and leave before I get anywhere.”
Reality check: Rather than forcing social behavior in a high-stress situation, like at a loud nightclub, shy guys may be better off searching for potential mates who share the same affinities. “The shy guy doesn’t have to walk up to someone cold,” says Dr. Kerner. “Instead, he should put himself in situations that present opportunities for easy conversation.” Dr. Kerner suggests theater clubs, team sports or anything else with expectations for regular participation, like volunteering. Or, if you do start dating someone, suggest making it a double date or an activity date, thereby reducing the pressure of a one-on-one outing.
The too-picky guy
For all his many, many first dates, this guy is resolutely single, never having met anyone who quite fits his mold for the ideal mate. He is convinced that there is someone out there and is alternately determined to find The One or frustrated by his inability to do so. Says Andrew, 30, of Scarsdale, NY: “It’s impossible for me to compromise. I can’t settle for someone who doesn’t attract me physically, emotionally, intellectually and so on.” Compounding this inability to compromise is the belief that perfection in another personal really exists — a notion that could lend itself to fantasies of discovering love at first sight. “A guy with impossibly high standards may fall for someone, but then he’ll see this person’s flaws and imperfections and become disappointed,” says Dr. Kerner. Unfortunately, this can lead to discounting potentially great matches, as the picky guy may be unwilling to give a date with, say, a tendency to use emoticons in emails or “too short” hair a chance.
Reality check: What these guys need to accept is that no one’s perfect — and include themselves in that statement. And, in Dr. Kerner’s opinion, “There is no such thing as a soul mate,” he says. “Rather, it’s the journey of building a great relationship over time that leads to a ‘soul mate’-type of closeness.” So the next time you’re iffy about a girl, give her more of a chance before you write her off.
The none-of-the-above guy
Of course, there are guys who might not fall into (just) one of these categories, who are comfortable with themselves, outgoing and trying to meet someone to share their lives with — but for whom it just hasn’t happened yet. Guys like “chronically single” Greg, 30, of Boston, explains: “I’m ready to give my heart to someone and to do some hard work to find her, but I have yet to find that person.”
Reality check: Keeping adages such as “Love happens when you least expect it” in mind may not totally assuage feelings of “What the heck is going on here?” Suffice to say that this still-single guy is not alone — and won’t be for long if he keeps an open mind, gets active in organizations that provide opportunities to meet others and gives luck (or some effort) a chance to work. “Regardless of his circumstances, the important thing for a single guy in his 30s to do is to put himself in situations where he’s meeting women — whether it’s making time to join in activity groups, dating online or signing up for singles’ events,” says Dr. Kerner. So, single guy, keep your chin up and continue taking those leaps of faith into the dating pool. Sooner or later, you’ll find someone who sees you for the catch you truly are.

13-tips-to-maximize-every-hour-of-your-day
Some people always seem to get everything done in a day; others find getting anything accomplished to be a struggle. What separates the frenetic, time-starved man from the productive one? Surprisingly, not much.
Time management is really about managing yourself. It’s about making a commitment to be more organized, maintain your focus and use your time to your best advantage. Even if there were more than 24 hours in a day, we would likely always find ways to overfill them. Maximize the use of your time by becoming more aware of how you spend your day. With a little planning, you can establish a routine, create shortcuts and use your time wisely.
Whether in your personal or professional life, here are some solid tips to maximize every hour of your day.
1. Get out of bed quickly.
The time-starved individual shuts off the alarm and dozes off a couple more times before finally getting up. He ends up oversleeping, and in doing so wastes up to 30 minutes of his morning. Even if he does get to work on time, he’s rushed and stressed upon arrival.Avoid hitting the snooze button by moving your alarm away from beside your bed. Once you get up to shut it off, head straight for the shower and start your day. Be a time-savvy person and rise when the alarm wakes you instead of wasting time lolling about in bed. You’ll arrive at work looking refreshed and ready to tackle the day’s challenges.
2. Organize your day.
The time-challenged person dashes about wasting time, energy and biological fossil fuel. His ineffectiveness, disorganization and lack of foresight result in lost time and frazzled nerves.Plan your day with a personal organizer — just as you would for work-related tasks. Review and update your plans as your day progresses, in case you need to move certain entries around. It might be convenient to take a half-day off work on occasion to run all your errands at once. Plan ahead and line up some appointments you’ve been putting off, like the dentist, doctor or oil change. Become a time management expert and you’ll accomplish more each day.
3. Foresee efficiency obstacles.
A person who’s always in a rush fails to take into account crucial details like driving distances and traffic delays. The result is that he often ends up off schedule.Be realistic when you make your plans. If doing your grocery shopping takes thirty minutes, allow a little longer in case there’s a long line at the cash. If you don’t, the domino effect will throw off your subsequent plans. Be a time-conscious person who has a realistic view of how long each task requires. Allow for transit and transition time, as well as unexpected disruptions.
4. Allocate specific times for specific tasks.
The person who’s running after time procrastinates. He defers his duties, sometimes ignores them completely, and then becomes frustrated. What you need to do is develop a routine. Let your tasks become automatic. If you know that you’ll be checking your e-mail between 9:30 and 10 a.m. each morning, you’ll get it done faster. Train yourself to be aware of time. Create a routine to achieve more with less effort.
5. Set and respect deadlines.
Be realistic about setting deadlines and aim to meet them. It’s true that any task takes the exact amount of time allotted to it. Have you ever noticed how quickly you can blitz through paperwork, delegate assignments and make decisions on the last day before your vacation? Although we tend to get a lot done when we’re under pressure, it is a lot less stressful and considerably more professional to establish and stick to an action plan.
6. Develop shortcuts.
7. Maximize your productivity habits.Constantly seek new ways to do certain tasks more efficiently. Sort your laundry into two baskets (light and dark) as you undress, instead of just heading to the washing machine with one huge pile. Although this may seem a little extreme, it does serve to save time. Also, work with a list instead of wandering aimlessly in the supermarket.
Whether it’s in the morning, during the stretch of late afternoon or in the evening before going to bed, if you know you can accomplish a lot during a specific time in the day, then take advantage of it.
8. Combine tasks.
Why not reconnect with some friends at your place while watching the game? You could do your laundry at the same time, without anyone even noticing. When you’re commuting, catch up on your reading. Keep a “To Read” folder in your briefcase so you can spend your time wisely when you’re waiting in a restaurant or at the car dealership’s service department.
9. Visit the gym early in the day.
10. Don’t take on too much.It can be difficult to get motivated after a long day at work. You’re tired, and fitness doesn’t sound nearly as enticing as an easy chair and a cold drink. You won’t have to push yourself if you’ve already done your weight training earlier in the day. And your leisure hours in the evening will seem longer for it.
If you have kids, teach them about responsibility by assigning them some chores around the house. Alternatively, negotiate the division of labor at home with your spouse. Trade off toilet duty for daily dishwasher detail, if that suits both of you. Doing things begrudgingly always seems to take longer.Delegate at work and outsource at home, whenever possible. And if you don’t have the time or the energy for housekeeping chores, why not hire a cleaning crew to tidy up once a week?
11. Plan some downtime.
No matter how busy you are, give yourself permission to take a few time-outs to relax. This will enable you to function more efficiently and be more productive at work and at home. Having a power nap on a weekend afternoon can be a time waster or a great refresher, depending on its length and your attitude. On a related note, you need to get enough sleep. Feeling rushed and chasing after time could be a symptom of being overtired. Get to bed at a decent hour, leave your worries behind and when the alarm goes off in the morning, you know what to do!
12. Cut down on social time.
13. Finish what you start. When your social life is taking up too much of your time, cut down on the invitations you accept. Plan to see several friends simultaneously at a group gathering instead of individually. If some of your friends are high maintenance and sap your energy, consider cutting them out of your circle completely and you’ll regain some time for the activities and people you enjoy.
Don’t take on another major project until you finish the one you’ve started. You don’t want to find yourself with 10 unfinished tasks, or you’ll feel you never have enough time to accomplish anything.
Regain control over how you use your time. Stop running after time and you’ll feel less stressed and more energized. You’ll get everything done, with time to spare.
Identifying your Prime Time and Slug Time for Maximum Productivity
http://www.redsofts.com/articles/read/362/54494/Identifying_your_Prime_Time_and_Slug_Time_for_Maximum_Productivity.html
Did you know that not everyone is the same when it comes to their circadian rhythms? The term early morning person or late night person is a general term to describe the normal sleep patterns and needs of people. Some people, like my own father, are naturally early morning people—that is, they generally wake up very early in the morning before most people and tend to go to sleep earlier also. Some people wake up much later in the day, but are able to stay up much longer throughout the night.
But for each of us, there is a certain time of the day…or night, when we are at our physical and mental peak. This is the window of time where we are motivated to perform at our highest levels and it’s the time when we have the most potential to get things done. This is known as your “prime time,” or your peak performance window.
So ask yourself when is your prime time? Do you shine early in the morning? Or is it in the afternoon or the evenings? If you do not know exactly then I suggest using this simple assessment tool described below:
How to Assess your Prime Time and your Slug Timed
The purpose of this self-administered assessment is to identify what your window of optimal performance is during the day. This is very easy to do and will take one week of regular information gathering to make effective.
Start by writing the dates for the next seven days on seven pieces of paper. Only one day per sheet of paper. So if I started on January 1st, then I would have seven pieces of paper ranging from January 1st to January 7th.
For each dated page in your log, I want you to write the hours of the day that you are awake in increments of 1-hour. So if you regularly wake up at 7:00 AM and go to bed at around 10:00 PM every day, then on your logbook, you would write 7:00AM at the top all the way to 10:00PM at the bottom.
I want you to make sure you have your logbook with you at all times so that you don’t miss entries. At each hour of your waking day, I want you to log in a number from 0 to 10 on how much energy you feel you have. Zero is no energy at all and 10 is full of energy. I know there is a subjective quality to this assessment, but you are comparing this to only yourself, so really if you keep your assessment of your own energy level consistent, you are going to get a reliable reading at the end. I guess I should define what I mean by energy. Energy, in terms of this assessment, is how alive or awake you are. It’s how motivated you are to get things done. Obviously if you are feeling tired, then your energy level is going to be low. Energy is the motivating force that you possess to get things done.
Once you collect your data for the entire week, now you want to analyze it. There are two ways of doing this. You can look over the pages in your logbook and just see for yourself when your peak performance times are throughout the day. Or a more methodical and scientific way of doing this is to plot it on a graph. To do this, simply use the horizontal axis for the time factor (i.e. 7AM TO 10PM) and use the vertical axis for the energy level coefficient (10 at the top, 0 at the bottom). Then take your data and place dots where they fall on the graph. You will have overlaps, but don’t worry about this as we are looking for a general pattern. After you place all the dots, draw a line connecting the dots, making sure you ignore the extremes and go for the median of the dot placements. You will then have an accurate graph of your peak times and your “slug times” throughout your waking day.
Making use of your Prime Time
Now that you know your window of optimal performance, you will want to organize your highest priority projects and tasks to fall within this window of time. These projects and tasks should be of the nature that are the most physically or mentally demanding of you. You want your body to be able to handle those challenges and you want to have the concentration to be able to focus in on the tasks and to create solutions. Conversely, you might want to schedule the non-priority, mindless tasks for when you are at your lowest times. Examples of mindless tasks are: doing chores, reading email, cleaning up your desk, following up on phone calls, etc.
